Services for Dog and Cat Grooming Businesses
123Pet management software allows you to enter a list of services, prices, and descriptions your business offers. 123Pet management software also contains over 200 reports, which includes service statistics. The information tracked is shown below:
- Service ID - can be up to 18 alpha- numeric characters long.
- Description
- Default time it takes to perform service, including employee time exceptions. An exception is when a certain employee takes longer than the default time to perform a service. The time feature is optional and works when scheduling appointments.
- Setup, processing time, and finish time (including exceptions)
- Default price and employee price exceptions. Unless an exception price is entered for an employee(s), the default price is used.
- When this service is sold, change the client's balance by a certain amount
- When this service is sold, change the client's treatments balance by a certain amount. Employee commission amount is calculated when this service is sold.
- Up to three products may be entered that must be purchased when this service is sold.
- Backbar charge (if any). Backbar is the amount of products that a pet grooming business uses to perform a service. For example, if a large dog bath costs $30, but $5 of pet shampoo is used, the backbar is $5. If your employee gets commission on amount of services sold, the groomer would not make commission on the backbar amount. So, in this case, for a large dog bath, the employee would only make commission on $25.
- You can link a service to a resource. If a service requires a resource (such as a room), the software will automatically book the employee and resource when creating a ticket.
Editing a service or creating a new service is simple and efficient.
Pre-Paid Services
Quite a number of grooming businesses do pre-paid services. Unlimited types of pre-paid services can be tracked (for example, Sue Smith may have a 10 training sessions, and 5 grooming appointments pre-paid for). Also, you can track how many pre-paid services are remaining for a client and his or her pet(s).
You can also specify when commission is paid to the employee : 1) when the service is sold or 2) when the service is used.
